The first day back after the holidays, the KS1 children were shocked when they saw their teachers. To prepare for their new topic ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ the teachers had dressed up as characters out of the film.
We asked some of the children in KS1 what they thought about their new topic:
Olivia (Ruby Class) said that she was excited about the new topic and that her favourite thing they had done so far was making Willy Wonka top hats.
“We thought it was hilarious when our teachers came into the playground dressed as people out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!” said Connor, Amelia and Eva (Cherry class).
Eva and Hansini (Cherry class) said that they were going to watch the film in class and eat the chocolate they had made earlier that morning.
Here are all the teachers who dressed up: Miss ‘Oompa’ Moores, Mrs ‘Loompa’ Casey, Miss ‘Violet Beauregarde’ Sowden, Ms ‘Veruca Salt’ Tattersfield, Mrs ‘Willy Wonka’ Letheren, Mrs ‘Wonka Bar’ Laverick and Miss ‘Golden Ticket’ Moor.
Although most of the children had already seen the film, they were extremely excited to watch it again. In addition to that, they were and are still ready and eager to learn what went on behind the scenes of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Will the topic be a golden ticket or will it end up going down the trash shoot?
