Foundation stage have been making the most of two fantastic new outdoor areas recently, The Mud Kithen and The Water Trays.

Foundation Stage are the youngest children in the school. At such a young age they have a very large imaginative side to them. Being in foundation lets them express that with their latest outdoor activity…… THE MUD KITCHEN!!!

Let your mud mind run wild! Foundation children will now have a famous future… becoming a chef with their new outdoor facilities.  Would you like something like that outside?

They have a very large seating area for any customers. Also some large pots, pans and bun cases to serve and cook their creations in. There are many large preparation counters where they express their feelings in mud!

As well as having a messy mud kitchen they also now have another brand new play activity. They can let their crystal clear water side shine through from the cooking of the mud. Their brand new activity is…  THE WATER TRAYS!!!!

They can pour water onto a tray and then it will over flow onto the next in all different ways. They can also transport water from one side of the playground to another by pouring some water into a bucket (the bucket is on a wire that can be pulled along by a rope). Finally you can watch the water go down the large funnel and then through the pipes and then come out of the other end, BRILLIANT!!!

Why not ask your teacher if you can go down and have a go or a look at these amazing things that will definitely give good experience to the foundation stage children for when they are older. See you down there, don’t forget your apron!
