On Tuesday the 6th of October 2015, nine students from Carlton Primary School went to Millenium Square Fanzone to take part in special Rugby World Cup activities.

The nine lucky people that went were called: Samuel Carter, Jack Hinson, Naomi Simpson, Cayden Cole, Tom Daley, Harvey Stead, Louie Fox and Madison Plevin.

To start off the day the children of Carlton practiced to rugby tackle people using inflatables - that was a lot of fun. In the same tent we practiced rugby.  After that they blew up an inflatable where you had to throw a rugby ball in the holes.  Then we went to the town hall to play Tagtive8 and the red team won with 17 points. Jack was on their team.

The final thing we did was we went to Leeds Library and met an author called Tom Palmer and he told us about his books and after that we got to create our own rugby kits.

Unfortunately we got caught in very heavy rain on the way home but despite that, Jack Hinson still exclaimed, “It was such an epic day!”
