Carlton Primary School has a good record when it comes to behaviour.
The politeness and attitudes of our children are seen by many as one of our strengths and visitors to our school often comment on how confident and well-mannered our children are.
We believe that behaviour is centred around three different basic rights: The right to learn; the right to be safe and the right to be respected. Excellent behaviour inside the classroom is the key to successful learning and children will only make progress in an environment where this is allowed to happen. Outside of the classroom, positive behaviour keeps our children safe at playtimes and lunchtimes and overriding all of this a high level of respect for each other and for the adults in school.
