Autumn Two in UKS2!
What a fabulous start to the new school year for the three oldest classes in school. The Year Five children have stepped up to the responsibilities of the new phase and have settled really well. Year Six have been showing them the way and all children have taken new roles.
The first topic of the year, Digging Up The Past, was well met by the children and they all enjoyed learning facts from Stone Age to Iron Age when they became archaeologists for the day. We have also been busy learning how to be safe on the roads during Bikeability training and we were fully engaged with Black History Month learning about significant figures.
Celebrating Harvest together with the community was another highlight and enabled us to show our learning skills of #collaborative #responsible.
Home Learning is still incredibly important in UKS2 and reading regularly can unlock a whole host of additional learning and enjoyment. All staff in UKS2 should be able to point you in the right direction of information and support. Please see below the expectations for Home Learning.
Please see the staffing structure below and don't hesitate to come into school if you have any queries.
