Welcome to Royal Racing Rabbits class

Thia half term we are loving our new topic 'What do we celebrate?'. The children have enjoyed learning about lots of different celebrations including; Bonfire Night, Birthdays and Diwali. We are looking forward to learning about Christmas and the children are really enjoying the stories Polar Bear Polar Bear and Stickman.

We had lots of fun in Birthdays week and made lots of things for Teddy and his birthday! The children made lots of party invitations, decorations and birthday cards, which the children thoroughly loved walking to the post office to post to him. In Diwali week the children made some fabulous colourful diva lamps, lanterns and designed their own henna tattoos. The children have loved learning about all different celebrations.

This half term the children have really wowed me with the progress in their Reading, Writing and Maths. We have been working on using our phonics to sound out and write words and simple sentences. In Maths we have been looking at one more and one less than, 2D and 3D shapes, money and simple addition and subtraction.

The children have been practising the Christmas songs and their lines for the Nativity and they are loving this! Please look out on Tapestry for their performance in the last week of Autumn 2!

Keep up the good practising at home with all your super home learning!
