The Harvest Festival  came to Carlton Primary School on Thursday 16th October. All the classes prepared for Harvest by making trees and Harvest related things. All the children in the school brought in tins of food for the elderly around Carlton, which year 6 then delivered.

The whole school prepared for harvest by making trees such as the Horse-Chestnut tree (Conker tree.) We also have been practicing Harvest Festival songs like 'Juicy Fruit' and 'A Farmers Life For M'e so that at the Harvest Festival we will put on a show for all the Mums and Dads.

All the Mums and Dads brought in lots of tins of food for the elderly around Carlton. On Thursday morning, all the children in the school gathered in the hall at 9:05 to start the Harvest Festival. To get us going Tilden brought up their beautiful Willow Tree, followed by Cherry who did the Cherry Blossom Tree. We then sang some songs. We finished by doing some prayers that the year 6 children had written.

Later that afternoon all of year 6 went around Carlton to deliver food for the elderly. Each child in year 6 went with partners and carried a bag of food each with tins and fruit.

This year has been a very successful year for Harvest in Carlton Primary School because we have enjoyed doing it and all the parents loved the Harvest Festival show.
