Supreme Class - Reception
Supreme Class is a Reception class and the teacher is Miss Platts.
Autumn 1 - I wonder what is special...
This term in Reception, our topic has been “I wonder what is special…”. The children have explored what makes people, places, and experiences special, and in doing so, they’ve formed some truly special friendships of their own. We are so proud of how well the children have settled into Supreme class, embracing new routines with confidence and enthusiasm. The children have shown great independence and teamwork!
Our phonics sessions have been brilliant and the children have taken them in their stride eagerly learning new sounds and applying them in their reading and writing. It’s been fantastic to see their progress and excitement grow each day.
We’ve had the pleasure of welcoming some very special visitors who helped us learn about important roles in our community. A huge thank you to the postal worker, PCSO, site manager, dentist, and doctor who shared their time and stories with us—our Reception children were fascinated and full of thoughtful questions!
We also celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, by learning about its traditions, creating beautiful rangoli patterns, and enjoying stories that helped us understand its meaning. October brought a spooky twist with our Halloween activities, from crafting creepy creatures to dancing the night away at our Halloween disco.
We have had so much fun this half term! Please see the pictures below.
