Celebrate Diversity

The champions plan and participate in events that showcase different cultures, backgrounds and abilities. This fosters understanding and appreciation for the unique qualities each student brings.

Promote Inclusion

They work with teachers to identify ways to make our classrooms, the playground and school activities more inclusive for all students.

Champion Kindness

The Diversity Champions are role models for respect and empathy, creating a positive and supportive environment for everyone. Through a diverse lens, the champions help us create a school where all students feel valued and empowered to thrive.

Autumn 1 

In our first meeting, we discussed our ideas for how we can make the school a more inclusive and welcoming place that celebrates diversity.

We came up with lots of brilliant ideas that we will work on throughout the year including:

• Finalising plans for the buddy bench, making sure children know when to use it.
• Plan more activities for celebrations including from a wide range of religions.
• Have more visitors in school that are from different backgrounds to talk about their life experiences.
• Raising awareness of allergies so that children who this affects feel seen.
