Welcome to Victoria Class!

Our classroom is a calm and welcoming space where children can explore and be supported in their development as independent and creative learners. Each day, we work hard as a team to achieve our goals and develop our resilience.  I look forward to creating some amazing memories together!

Class Updates

Spring 2 Term Update

This half term we have been inspired by the sunny weather and have been busy planting lots of vegetables including onions, green beans, and peppers. In English, we have been re-telling our own spooky versions of the story 'Funnybones'. In Maths, we have been looking at measurement and even got to measure how tall we are! We are looking forward to immersing ourselves into the Chinese culture in our Geography lessons and comparing this to the UK. We will be trying some traditional foods, clothing, and even some dances!

Spring 1 Term Update

We have started off the new year with diving into our new history topic "I wonder how pop music has changed since our grandparents were young". We have been listening to lots of different music genres and even got our groove on with a very special silent disco! In English, we have been inspired by our new class story 'The King Who Banned the Dark' and had some very insightful debates and class discussions. In DT, we are looking forward to making stir fry- we are super excited to prepare and taste-test the ingredients this week!

Autumn 2 Term Update

Victoria Class had a wonderful Autumn 1 term and are even more excited to begin Autumn 2! Last half term our topic was “What is the role of Kings and Queens?”. We learnt all about what it truly means to be a royal and even got to attend our own royal banquet! So far this half term, the children have immersed themselves into their Forest School sessions, using what they know about nature to write some detailed biographies about David Attenborough in English. In Geography, we are looking forward to learning about what makes each continent special and trying some cultural foods from around the world.
