On Friday 15th November Carlton Primary proudly took part in Children in Need.

We decided that we would come to school wearing our pyjamas. We all donated as much money as we could to help children who are in need of money, food and homes etc.  We all wrote a story about Pudsey Bear (the L.O: was to write a story on Pudsey Bear's adventures). The office staff took a lot of time counting all the money we raised and we also tried to put up how much money we raised on the BBC Children in Need show. This year we raised £434.46 and next year you could be part of that by sending in a donation!

The presenters of BBC's The One Show took part in the Rickshaw Challenge.  The children who are benefiting from this also took part in the cycling, at one point  they may have never been able to cycle in their life. They cycled from Ireland all the way to London back to where Children in Need takes place. They raised over £30,000,000 people people around the UK calling or texting a special number, or by children in schools dressing up to raise money.

Children in Need is celebrated all over the UK so that every child has a chance to have a happy life. Please donate as much money as possible and you will be thanked for what you have done (save a child’s life).
